She has been a Head Cheerleader for 4 years and has been a exemplary member of the cheerleading team, supporting and inspiring all squad members for 6 years. Her aim is to travel with artists around the world in concerts and shows performing in front of big crowds. She has been part of a cheer squad coached by Lauren for the past 5 years and became a great role model for other cheer members. She has competed in competitions around the UK for both cheer and dance. She has performed in many shows at the Wyvern and Sundial Theatre and also taken part in the Swindon Youth Project. Ella is representing the UK in Germany at the European Cheerleading Championships and has recently qualified with the BCA at level 2 and is looking forward to joining the coaching team at ECA.
Lily has been dancing for ten years. Although she enjoys and continues to develop her technique in all areas of dance, her passion lies with street, contemporary and cheerleading. Her overall aim is to study commercial dance at degree level and work as a professional dancer. Lily has been part of the cheerleading squad with Lauren for the last 4 years. During this time she has become competent in stunts and tumbling and is looking forwards to competing in the European Cheerleading Championships this July with her squad. Recently, she has completed her BCA (British Cheerleading Association) Level 2 coaching qualification in Cheerleading so that she can support Coach Lauren with the students. She is very excited about her new position with Cirencester ECA.
A team-based sport that involves stunting, pyramids, baskets, tumbling, jump and dance. Trust and encouragement is key to the success of cheerleading. A great way to bond with your team mates and become a family, get fit and have fun.
The focus in this dance genre is on lines, formations, cheerleading jumps, sharp staccato arm movements and form. It may contain visuals, with both male and female participants and influences of hip-hop and jazz techniques. A great way to keep fit too.
Stunts are defined as building performances displaying a persons’ skill or dexterity and been previously referred to as building pyramids. Stunts range from basic two-legged stunts, to one-legged extended stunts and highflying basket tosses built on trust, strength and flexibility.
A brand new element of cheerleading! A unique fusion of street dance and cheerleading moves. You’ll find the funkiest, most up to date dance moves combined with cheerleading chants and a great way to be expressive and win the audience over.
A form of gymnastics performed without props or equipment. Common moves performed in tumbling include flips, somersaults, tucks, handstands and handsprings. Tumbling at ECA helps with you floor work, strength and overall performance. A great way to get fit too!
Acrobatics involves both balance and tempo routines with participants performing tumbling, toss, acrobatic lifts, throws and spins, somersaults, pyramids – all combined with dance and exciting dance choreography and music. Acrobatics in cheerleading is the evolution of different forms of gymnastics.
Our Masters team is made up of our parents and adult cheerleaders (some European Champions too!). We aim to compete in Street, Pom Dance, Cheerleading and Stunts. A great way to have fun, get fit and keep flexible.
Consisting of only the best cheerleaders at ECA and by audition or invite only. If spotted, you will be invited to a trial session. We also hold audition days where everyone from any of our genres has a chance to audition!
